Our recreational classes offer a range of opportunities to suit everyone. Recreational classes cover general basics of gymnastics and are suitable for boys and girls. The sessions are planned, and we focus on a curriculum of continuous improvement of basic skills. As well as learning handstands, cartwheels, and trying out various apparatus, gymnasts learn other valuable skills including teamwork, self challenge, and resilience. Each session starts with a warmup/ game and then splits into small groups for apparatus and skill work. We finish with stretching and flexibility skills.

Red hot gymnastics believe that participating in organised sports provides a chance for young people to increase their activity and develop socially and physically.
Senior coaches will also monitor these classes for individuals who show a flair for the sport and offer them the chance to join our advanced recreational or Squads.
