🩹 Insurance, First Aid & DBS Checks
Red Hot Gymnastics has Public Liability Insurance covering accidental injury to persons or accidental damage to property arising in connection with the business.
Members of the coaching team will have appropriate First Aid training and qualifications.
Coaches working with gymnasts are also subject to the club’s safeguarding and DBS checking requirements.
⚠️ Understanding the Risks
Gymnastics is a physical activity and, like any sport, carries an inherent risk of injury, including the possibility of serious injury.
Gymnasts must follow all instructions given by coaches and behave appropriately within the gym environment to help reduce these risks.
By booking and attending gymnastics classes, parents/guardians acknowledge the inherent risks associated with participation and agree that their child must follow the instructions and safety rules given by the coaching team.
Any child that does not follow instruction of the coaching team may need to be sat out and parents will be called to arrange early collection.
💷 Class Payments & Booking System
All initial bookings and trial sessions must be made through Classes for Kids using the club’s booking link.
We offer one trial session. If your child would then like to continue, the remaining classes for the term must be paid for upfront.
Refunds
Once payment has been received, your child’s place has been reserved for the full term. Refunds cannot normally be given for individual missed classes.
If the club has to close due to severe weather, such as snow, ice or flooding, no refund will be given. Where possible, a make-up class will be offered once classes resume.
Non-payment
If payment has not been received before the start of a new term, we will assume that your child is no longer attending and their place may be offered to another gymnast.
Late fees may be applied to class fees that remain unpaid at the end of the term.
📈 Annual Fee Review
Class fees are reviewed annually to ensure they continue to reflect the costs of running the club and providing our classes.
If the club makes the decision to increase fees, any increase will take effect from the start of a new calendar year.
Parents will be given at least one full term’s notice of any fee increase before the new fees come into effect.
We will always aim to keep any increases reasonable and give families as much notice as possible.
🤒 Illness & Missed Classes
Please only send your gymnast to class if they are fit and well enough to take part in a highly physical activity.
Your child should not attend gymnastics if they are unwell.
Before sending your child to class, please consider whether they have:
•A fever
•A new or continuous cough
•Vomiting or diarrhoea
•A viral illness
•A contagious childhood illness, such as chickenpox
If your child has another illness or infection, please consider whether they are genuinely well enough to participate and whether attending is fair to them, the coaching team and other gymnasts.
We have gymnasts who have pre-existing medical conditions, so we want to keep the gym environment as safe as reasonably possible for everyone.
Long-term illness
A refund or credit for lessons missed due to illness will only be considered where the gymnast is expected to be absent for 4 weeks or more.
🌴 Holidays
Holidays taken during the school or gymnastics term will not reduce the cost of the course.
Full payment for the term remains due and refunds or credits will not be given for individual classes missed due to holidays.
🥇 🥈 🥉 Competitions
Please note that competition participation is separate from the gymnast’s usual weekly class and may involve additional training sessions or extended training hours. These sessions are charged separately where applicable, and competition-related fees must also be paid when a gymnast is entered into a competition.
Where a gymnast is selected/entered for competitions, parents will be given the relevant information regarding dates, training requirements and any additional fees due.
